Usual Attire: When she's home in Darkshore, Rawel usually wears a kilt and a chest harness, both leather. When she's practicing her profession as a mercenary, she wears a dark leather attire, with no shoulder piece.
Personality: "Morality is foolishness." These are not the words that she bears as a motto, but are probably the only ones that she trusts since Hjayl. Although she was born under the light of Elune, Rawel knows nature well enough to know that there is no order, only causuality and a power that not even the most advanced gnomish science can understand. However, she is not foolish enough to believe that there is nothing under her control: she knows there are choices and that she controls her own life as much as possibly, until the moment she's under someone else's influence. For that reason she usually declines big jobs or a job that requires too much time when she's alone - though she will always leave a partner, if more convinient. "Convinient" is always her word so Rawel doesn't really care about the reasons or the story of the job, having money on the table. She knows she's not very faithful or confident, but she always gets the job done and is willing to work in a group if necessary (or "convinient"). Apart from all that, she's a bit outgoing, not very secretive and have little to no patience with small-talk. She also doesn't like blood elves or goblins that much, if this counts.
History:
Rawel was born under Elune's light aproximately in the year of -300. She is a priestsess' daughter, Elyssa Ambersky, together with a demon hunter kaldorei, Deryn Nightquiver. Much of her early life was spent in Darkshore, where she met gnoms and humans, adventurers or lost travelers - although most of the time she wasn't allowed to talk to them because of her father, a supremacist - one of the traits that led Rawel to dislike him at a very early age. The other reason for the dislike of her father was because of his occupation as a demon hunter, that led the family to be almost excluded from society of their time. The curse took all of Deryn's body soon and he murdered his partner, Elyssa, in cold blood.
Still a child, Rawel was now under the care of Faelyssa Shadowsong, a Warden. She moved to Nordrassil after burying her parents, where, at the end of her teenage years, she dedicated herself to study the art of the Shadows to become a warden too. Faelyssa taught her not only the law of the elves but also the chaos of the nature, useful tricks to survive in unknown locations and the preparation of poisons. Since then she rarely visited Darkshore again, although she liked exploring the north of Kalimdor with her colleagues.
Then came the war.
Although she was trained as a warden, Rawel volunteer herself as a sentinel during the war, seeing her brothers and sisters being murdered without pity by the Legion. She travelled trough many places and helped as she could. "Help" is actually not a good term: her objective was only to slay demons, even though that occasionaly led to an orc death... She saw Ashenvale fall, her own Darkshore and saw the fragility and hunger for life of the "inferior races", with whom, althought hesitant, she befriended with. When she learned about the battle in Hyjal and the freedom of the Betrayer, Rawel returned to Nordrassil, only to find her second home destroyd in a desperate attempt to vanquish the Legion. Azeroth chanted its victory against the demons, but the fire, the dust and the intoxicating smell of death in Hyjal told her otherwise.
Unacepting of the sacrifice and loss during the war, Rawel returned to Darkshore and took the first boat that arrived to the Eastern Kingdoms. There she again met humans and gnomes, and decided to use her skills to live as a thief and a mercenary. She didn't dare to return to Kalimdor or to visit Darnassus.
